The Rhone is a major river in Europe, and it runs right through the Western Alps. It is fed by the Rhone Glacier, which is primarily in our territory of the alps, since the river runs all the way to the Mediterranean sea. The river empties at one point in Lake Geneva, and again in the sea. The river is clean and fast moving, fed by the large freshwater glacier.
The glacier is void of humans, and safe for wolves. The river at points has cities, but there's plenty of room to share between the human and wolf population if there's no interaction.
During the winter visiting the glacier can be dangerous, a layer of snow usually coats the ice, hiding fissures and cracks. Easy to miss step and fall to a frigid death.
